Mr Minister, firstly i want to thank you for the work you are doing in the management of finance, know for one reason that for this purpose God sent you in a time like this to fix alot of mismanagement  and corruption, thank you never be discouraged in the work you are doing the evil plot but the righteous plan, so keep on planning and execute them to reality, thank you. My concern is in the banking sector especially the bank charges of $5.00 per withdrawl fees and monthly Account service fee of $10.00 per month, also a certain percentge will be deducted when you want to withdraw an amount above $1000.00, in the process some of the banks are not giving out loans. my question is that is it proper and fair to us? its not fair, because i strongly feel that instead of our money being in the bank, we should keep it and add value by doing some business and making the transcations in cash. At the same time i want to see my collegues in the banking sector earning a living. We are buildng a Zimbabwe but not of reaping each other of, alot of people dont want to bank theyre money because of the charges and its actually a headache, because we should be earning interest on the good american dollars from the bank for giving them business, but in the process its like we owe them, its like we have committed a crime for banking our money, am not implying that they should not charge certain bank fees, but they should be realistic, the should charge $0.50c or $1.00, or a certain percentage. The main view is to attract the majority of zimbabweans to bank they're money and earn interest not to owe the bank, Please Mr Biti, can you ractify this problem, to conclude dont undermine the common man has got money, not that much but lets say someone who sell juice cards on the streets they are earning a profit of 20 to 30us$ per day, that is alot of money then we should be feeling safe bankng our money but we are angry.

I totally agree with soldier. I was shocked to discover that i was charged 18usd to withdraw my 1200usd by barclays bank. To me that was a rip off and from that time i have resorted not to bank any money. Previously i had transfered cash from abroad direct into my account hoping to support formal banking sector whilst keeping my money safe. But such punitive bank charges had made me change my mind. I am sure others have done the same. Bankers in Zimbabwe have contributed a lot to the destruction of industry, trade and commerce and if they cannot reform then legislation has to be put in place to protect the public some of whom have no choice but to use these.
